"Dec. 8 aims to celebrate the life of the first original author and educator, the first bishop and founder of the Ohrid Literary School." "Clement of Ohrid (835–916) is one of Macedonia's greatest educators and the first writer in the history of Macedonian literature. His works played a significant role in the development of the Macedonian culture and literacy... He is also credited for being one of the founders of the Cyrillic alphabet." Read more here! While we're working hard planning and fund-raising, we'd like to remind you of our Farmington Hills happenings! The fabulous Detroit Chamber Winds and Strings will perform "Holiday Brass" at the Player Barn Theater on Dec. 13. The DCWS is composed almost entirely of members of the Detroit Symphony and Michigan Opera Theatre Orchestras! The Farmington Hills Youth Choir will also be performing at "The Barn" on Dec. 22. The City Gallery is also featuring an exhibit by the Weavers Guild, open until Jan. 3.
