We have decided to start a notebook where Monica and I can record our experiences from events. This will be a way for us to share on a more personal level. These entries will be published occasionally. This first entry is about our Month of Love visits to local retirement homes. We hope you enjoy this new feature!

Although Valentine's Day comes but once a year, local art therapy organization Galleria Monique wants to feature an entire "Month of Love" by reaching out to residents in assisted living and nursing homes.
Their goal at Galleria Monique is to get people involved—to help the community thrive.
After visiting the first home and meeting each resident, Ilich had an enormous feeling of satisfaction.
"If my arms were long enough to hug all those people at once, I would have," Ilich said. "It was like walking on air."
So far, artist Menka (Monica) Spasovska-Ilich and editor Mekie Kukan have visited the Farmington Healthcare Center and the Baptist Manor, and both Valentine's parties were quite successful. They made many new friends, which they said was very special for them.
"It's amazing to connect with them and see their appreciation through their beautiful smiles and hugs," Ilich said. "When you share your love with them, you receive so much back."
Ilich wants Galleria Monique to grow, and for more people in the community to team up and work together. She also plans to make the "Month of Love" an annual February event for the Farmington area.
"I feel very blessed as my kids are now older and I'm able to give back," Ilich said. "This gives me so much satisfaction and fulfills my heart. I have so much love for others and I need to share it with them." February is a great month to acknowledge this love.
